They get to list the homes they previously sold. It’s not something to take for granted and requires ensuring we are always top-of-mind when it comes to our clients. I remember when I first listed a home for sale that I sold a few years prior. I was very proud and excited as I felt that it was the true start of my career.
Today, I got to list the VERY first house I ever sold. This happened in March of 2007. It was my first open house ever, which turned out to be my first sale and first client… the first of many to come.
Since day one, I stayed in touch and had the privilege of working with this family at least five more times over the years. But today, that full circle was really full, as they decided to sell that first home (which they kept despite moving over the years).
I remember standing at this very kitchen as a brand-new agent 16 years ago wondering what this business had in store for me (it was vacant and my first open house and I didn’t think to bring anything to sit on). Little did I know the amazing opportunities it would open for me over the next few years. When we closed on the home, the buyers were very excited to be my first clients ever and even gifted me a nice bottle of champagne. I still have that bottle to this day; I’ve always thought I would open it for a special occasion and never did… well, maybe tonight is that night!
Thank you to the Carter family for sticking with me all these years. You will forever hold a special place in my heart.
